The Kelpies

Today, we drove out to Helix Park in Falkirk to take a look at The Kelpies, two massive horse scupltures.  They tower over either side of the canal and have built up a tourist magnet from what was disused swampland.  They are very photogenic, we had a great time.  We booked a tour which included being able to go inside one of the sculptures - something that the artist wanted to happen since he went inside the scale model.

After lunch we drove over the Kincardine Bridge and then over the Forth Road Bridge -  the replacement crossing is nearly ready.  After afternoon tea at Hopetoun House we took some photos of the bridges and then drove to a country park for a view of the Avon Aqueduct.
