Chianti colline fiorentine

In the the sweltering heat of a Fiorentina July. How hearts must beat for me. Stuck in a basement flat with the burglar alarm on so that if we open door or window the alarm is louder than the 'wretched' cicadas in the tall Tuscan cypresses. The things a bag-carrier must do.

But we eventually sorted the alarm and went driving around roads both 'pericolose' and 'stettissime' (dangerous and narrow) through native oaklands and the outer wine areas of Chiantishire. That's Santa Brigida in the background.

Back at HQ a gekko through the mosquito mesh.
