Tshukudu

What an amazing day.
The vet arrived at 0800hrs; we found the eland with the snare; she was  darted and the snare removed; she was given antibiotics, anti inflammatories and then woken.  All went really well and she appears fine. The snare did not cut into her leg thankfully so we ar very hopeful that there will be no repercussions. 
In the late morning we drove to Tshukudu a private game park and have enjoyed a wonderful game drive, a great braai and then went to see the porcupines coming in for a feed. The park is dry dry dry so all the animals are having to be supplemented with food - there is almost no grass!  The porcupines love leftovers so each night after supper is finished the kitchen waste is laid out and in they come!  Amazing animals and so lovely to watch.
Tomorrow Terrifo and self head off to Johannesburg so might not be able to blip nightly for a while. Going to go via Blyde River Canyon to see some more of SA's wonderful sights.
