The Great Butterfly Hunt

I went back to Lochore Meadows again this afternoon and made my way to two small flower meadows that I hadn't visited before.

Still a bit windy and showery so only saw a couple of meadow browns and 4 or 5 ringlets.

However, the star of these meadows is the Greater Butterfly Orchid (Platanthera chlorantha) - the first time I have ever seen them anywhere.  I would dearly love to capture an image of a butterfly nectaring on one but that will have to wait for now.
I have added a single bloom as an 'extra'
