"animal with the irritating back"

My first sighting of a porcupine! According to wikipedia, the latin name: Erethizon dorsatum loosely translates to "the animal with the irritating back". We were returning from a visit to the community garden and an evening drive when I saw it waddling up a hill. It climbed into an oak tree and surveyed me while I took photos.
