Red and Blue.

After my breakfast club meet-up with my photography group, as the sun was shining, I decided to go up to a little known but very beautiful area called 70 Acre Hill. I had dragonflies in mind as there are some small areas of wetland and I was rewarded with 2 sightings - this ruddy darter, and what I think was a migrant hawker. Bonuses included some wonderful wildflowers, worthy of mention were some wonderful purple loosestrife, a weasel which spotted me before I managed a shot and more butterflies including red admiral, comma, gatekeepers, meadow browns, and small skippers (see Saturday's blip). I also had an encounter with a beautiful young falcon called Blue and his owner who had been exercising and training him on the hill.
