Sweeps up

I am pleased to report that the first pair of sweeps are up on the Ashcombe Windmill, at Kingston near Lewes. I've been waiting for this ever since I came to Lewes four years ago and saw the mill taking shape. The next stage, I understand, is to test the striking and brake mechanisms before fitting the remaining shutters and installing the clamps and the other two pairs of sweeps...Ashcombe Mill
