Keeping them satisfied...

...with two loads of grass and an old bale of silage today. Even though the next paddock is definitely greener, I'm sure there's not so much to eat yet, and by keeping on feeding them on this one the next paddocks will have more time to grow. And I have plenty of grass that can't be harvested as dry hay or even round bale silage with the weather we have now and in the forecast for the next days. Despite many rainy days the feeding area holds up quite well, so feeding is no problem in that regard either.

Tomorrow morning many of the cows will leave. It was good to have a large herd eating the grass earlier in the summer, but it's a bit difficult to feed them now and the grass won't grow as well later in the summer, so it's good to get the number down now.
