Budding

Although we no longer have the allotment, we are still trying to grow a few things at home. Pete built me a fabulous raised bed a couple of months ago.  So far the most fabulous thing about it is that it is there - the courgette plants that are currently occupying it aren't doing well at all!  Two have been eaten down to a stalk, and the other three are looking distinctly dog-eared, although they do seem to be hanging on for now.

In separate pots I have a squash plant which appears to be thriving (and which may end up in the raised bed if I have to give up on the courgettes), and also a couple of tomato plants.  This is one of them - it has lots of buds and some flowers, although no obvious fruit yet.  I am still living in hope.
