External activities

Another of the "this is the last time I" days. In Manchester for one of their exam boards. I managed to forget my camera so this is a phone camera effort taken after they gave me lunch.
Good while I was there to catch up with my old mate Norma. We go back to postgraduate days when we shared an office in Sheffield.
We still confound people as an unlikely pair. She is impossibly glamorous and her politics are noticeably of the Right. Whereas I am not!
The conversations revolved around major challenges that the discipline faces. I'm not a bit sorry to be retiring.
