Flashy Geranium

Last week a colleague from work gave myself and another colleague/blipper https://www.blipfoto.com/PaulKnowles a lesson in using flash. We started simple with the flash on the camera on automatic, and worked through how to control the light and spread ... I hadn't really realised how flexible it can be, and normally avoid flash like the plague!

So today I thought I'd see how much I had remembered by shooting this strongly backlit geranium with some fill-in flash. I rather like the effect, especially when compared with equivalent shots taken with no flash.
