Y is for Yards of Yarns from Yore

In days gone by, when I had less money and more free time, I use to make and knit my own clothes. I can't knit for toffees, but have no problem with a knitting machine, which now alas lies gathering dust in a cupboad, along with numerous cones of wool in different colours, of which this is a small, easily accessible sample.

Most of the tailored clothes no longer fit, or are too old fashioned even for me, but some of the knitware has a timeless style and still serves a purpose, if only as comforters in extremely cold periods.
