In praise of the human spirit - Losé and Tita

I came across this work by photographer Terry Winn, part of his Caring Moments exhibition being displayed in the corridors of North Shore Hospital at the moment.

In Terry's own words:

Losé has been caring for her Aunt Tita and her grandmother since she was eleven and living in Tonga. They moved to New Zealand when Losé was fifteen and she has been the full time carer, seven days a week, ever since. Talk to Losé about her limited schooling and social life, and she says "I can always go back to school, but I am blessed to have the opportunity to look after my aunty and grandmother. They are special people!".
