Another lovely day. Dropped Nell off at garderie then a half hour trip to drop Morven off at the Voie Verte 7 in Gourin turned into 2 hours as we had to shop in the market, then buy cheese, then chat in the tourist office and then realised that she had no crash helmet. New helmet purchased and she sailed off towards the coast, looking magnificent and with plenty of pastries aboard, round about lunchtime.

The weighty box of chains and hooks that Mum paid a fiver for at a Cornish carboot is not actually pulleys but a 'differential hoist'. Ross has been tracking it down online, trying to figure out how it works and dying to try it out. He got the chance today, when Stephan gamely agreed to humour him and they set the window lintel with it. I don't think Stephan thought it would work, a bit of brute force and grunting was his plan.
