Overgrown

The church had once been an ivy-covered wooden structure. But, over the years, the ivy had grown thicker and the wood of the church had rotted away. The building now consisted of a thick shell of vegetation.

The vicar had once had a strong faith but that had withered away years ago. His personality now consisted of the lesser convictions that had grown up around, and outlasted, his now dead belief.
