Relaxing at the lake

After another busy day learning about how the magnets work that keep the beam of particles in the beam tube in a great visit to the cryogenic test facility. This was followed by a lecture on how the particles that are used in the collider (to collide with each other) are sourced. After lunch we had (to me) difficult lecture on accelerating particles. Thankfully followed by a productive session with the working group - we are trying to establish a grouping os all the available resources that might be helpful for teachers (there is so much, it is hard to find what you need).
After all the hard work this group took the tram to Geneva to spend a few hours chatting and swimming at the lake. True summer evening feeling!
