Violence is never the Answer....

This is dedicated to the fallen and injured Officers of Dallas Texas

I am going to step on many toes today and likely anger a few people but I feel strong enough about this that I will not apologize for it...

In Texas it is legal to carry a loaded AR-15 over the shoulder down main street. Idaho is an open carry state.. That is you can carry a pistol as long as it isn't concealed. In Manhattan and San Fransisco you must store your weapon with a trigger lock and/or safe with very few exceptions. 

The difference? rural and modern America.

A rancher in Idaho was killed by an Officer after a misunderstanding with the police. A car had hit a bull that was on the highway. The rancher came out to put it down.. Firearms on a farm are a necessity of life for a variety of reasons. 

In Cleveland a 12 year old boy was shot and killed by an Officer after a bb/pellet gun was mistaken for a real gun. Why is a young boy walking to a park, in a city that could be mistaken for something real. Why didn't his parents not keep that locked up? In my hometown its NOT legal to fire a pellet gun in the back yard because of safety concerns. I also don't care in this case the boy was black either.. A white kid pointing, reaching for or.. a weapon will be killed just as easily.

We give the Officers the authority to kill in many circumstances. Everyone has the right to self defense including the Police. Fractions of a second matter...

With that out of the way I must admit throughout history there are GOOD cops and BAD cops but the overwhelming majority are Good cops doing a very dangerous job and want to go home to their family at night. I have personally dealt with both kinds but all but a very few the Officers was just doing their job.

Today 5 Officers were killed, 7 were wounded, many many more Officers ran into streets under fire trying to help the rest of the public get to safety..  I do not feel sorry for the suspect that died and hope the people that help him if any (almost always is) get very long prison terms.

By the way... even I have a concealed weapons permit for when I used to go out to the range for something to do, for the friendship, for the social gathering, and...
