Road closed?

The direct route to my lunch date takes me through a busy town but last time I found a country route through narrow lanes. I would much rather take a pretty rural route than struggle with town traffic. Today I was on the new route when a "road closed ahead" sign appeared. Not knowing the area well, I pulled off into a side road and studied my road atlas and solved my route.
While stopped I took a photo of a nearby cottage, tucked in a quiet valley with a few neighbours.
Not much delay and was able to enjoy the company of old WI friends.
