Where's a Train...

... when you want one.
I hung about for ages waiting for a train to cross this viaduct to help the blip - but nothing came.


The railway line from Todmorden to Burnley winds its way up a narrow valley and through a tunnel, beyond which is Lydgate Viaduct with 13 high arches. This was designed by Sir John Hawkshaw in 1849 and is Grade II listed.

(This is the land of Mrs MD who was born up the hillside to the left of this Blip - she used to hear the steam trains struggling up the incline from her bedroom window).
