Lavender - plus bee

We decided last year not to dig up the massive lavender plants in our front garden, which are threatening to take over the world. Or did we just not get round to digging them up?
Either way, they are still there, and I for one am very pleased.
Here's a little bee on the lavender this evening. It was quite pleasant when I arrived home after a long and weary day just to go out and smell the lavender.
