The fantastic, breezy view from the Naze Tower at Walton. 150 high, accessed through 8 floors of a winding spiral staircase, you can see 25 miles of surrounding countryside and sea. The Tower was built in 1720 as a navigation aid and now is home to an art gallery & cafe. Then on to hospital to check up on Michael-next-door, and we bumped into Howard, husband of a teaching colleague who seriously ill in body but remarkably healthy in spirit.
