Jupiter Artland

I joined my friends, Eric & John for an initial visit to Jupiter Artland, near Wilkieston about 20 minutes out of Edinburgh and we were blown away by the setting and the artworks. The first exhibit by Celeste Bourgier-Mougenot 'from her to ear' is just so incongruous and yet so beautiful - an aviary for zebra finches with lots of electric guitars as perches which play sounds as the bird alight on them. The life mounds of Charles Jencks are so sinuous and curving that even without much modelling from the sun they entrance and I spent about half an hour just walking around them. The other standout exhibit  is the Weeping Girls of Laura Ford set in woodland and so expressive. If you have a chance to go there do not miss it !
