Over pruned?

Another day in the five catching up and preparing for next week.

As I left, waiting to be picked up, the early evening sunshine lit up this (budhlia ?) stump in a nearby garden. Whether it was the rigorous pruning or some other reason, the stump now looks lifeless.

An evening catch up with friends doing hospital radio rounded off the week.
