Happy Hour

In the Lobby of the Benson Hotel in Portland. Mr. Benson was a lumber trader and became very rich. The gigantic pillars in this lobby are each made out of one gigantic tree. Oregon has sold a lot of its natural wealth and nowadays it would be difficult to find such trees. All the other wall decoration, the stairs and wonderful banister, it is all made of the most beautiful pieces of lumber.
We enjoyed a very scenic drive along the Columbia River today up to a beautiful and very high waterfall. See extras in large, then you can see the little white speck in the upper left corner. That is the top of the waterfall :-)
Sorry , the extras will come a bit later.
