Coming and Going

Fishbourne, Isle of Wight.

Waiting for the incoming ferry. A very busy service across The Solent to Portsmouth. We have much enjoyed our week. We visited Yarmouth Castle and Cowes before heading to the ferry. I've added some extras including a very eye carching car, and ferry arriving at Yarmouth, right beside the castle.

Now in Reading. Very nice Airbnb place. Lebanese dining this evening. Delicious.

Observations on the Isle of Wight :-
Very busy traffic, too many potholes and poor road surfaces.
My dislike of 6' 6" wide roads, especially when you meet a double decker bus coming in the other direction. Less passing places than we are used to in Scotland.
Very hilly, lots of twisty bends, and roads with high hedges.
Road Signs - Be aware of Red Squirrels and Badgers.
Chines and Shutes.
Peacocks wandering around busy A roads.
Lots of thatched cottages.
Spotting Little Egrets, Buzzards and Kestrels.
Lots of Butterflies.
Steep, crumbling cliffs.
Traditional deckchairs.
Fields of solar panels. Didn't spot any wind turbines.
Yachts, and more yachts.
Harbour Movements.
