The Big Weekend.

This yearly event is held on Parker's Piece, Cambridge and is 3 days and nights of free music and family entertainment. A favourite with the children was the Fun Lab, presented by the Science Centre. I liked the Travelling Moving Picture Show, showing some old films, and the Spanish dancing. Also there was a huge French market selling a variety of goods, cheeses, pastries, breads etc, along with these colourful bags. At the little stall on the right, I bought wooden letters, an engine and a goods van which linked up into a train spelling out, EVIE, my new gt granddaughter's name. See extra. Tomorrow is the Mela Festival, a celebration of Asian culture which includes music, dance, arts and crafts. I am hoping to go there if the weather is fine.
