It is announced today that the author Maeve Binchy has passed away.
Her first novel was rejected by five publishers. She went on to sell millions.

In an interview in 2001 she said she was glad she persevered and sent the book to a sixth publisher "It's like if you don't go the dance you can never be rejected, but you'll never get to dance either". Such beautiful words to be spurred on by.
