Not a seagull

A Sea Eagle. This is a grainy snippet from the centre of a wide angle lens image but despite that I am so pleased to have got it. These birds have been reintroduced to Scotland and until now I thought they could only be found on Mull and Skye. I am reluctant to say exactly where we saw it but it was on one of out longer weekend dog walks.
This is the biggest raptor in Scotalnd and the size of this particular example was jaw dropping.
The official SE viewing hide on Mull allows organised visitors within about 500 metres and telescopes are set up for watchers. The small informal layby at the nearest public road has a constant flow of bird watchers stopping too.
We were within 50 metres when the vast flapping wings caught my eye and the beautiful bird stayed in view for several minutes..
