Beside Lake Hawea

Today the walking group drove to Johns Creek at Lake Hawea, and walked from there towards the Hawea Township.  I must say that it was VERY COLD, with everyone wearing their hats coats and gloves to keep warm.  We had our lunch in a sunny spot, but soon turned back to the cars as it was so cold sitting there.  -4C up to +4C.  The 14 of us enjoyed a nice hot cuppa and cake at a local cafe on the way back to Wanaka.  We drove through spectacular hoar frost in Albert Town on the way to Lake Hawea.  No time to stop to take photographs, we will leave that for another day.  I'm home now in front of a nice hot fire.  It was another super walk with lovely friends.  In this photo are Pianolady, and her hubby, with the Boss and Tussock from 'tussocktales'.
