Liverpool Biennial (2)

This installation is by Lawrence Abu Hamdan and is entitled "Hummingbird Clock". Monitors show the sound waves emitted by the electrical grid, which are usually no more than a low background noise to our ears but are subject to variations which can be used by the state as a surveillance tool to identify the precise time and date. The telescopes in the installation lead the viewer to the Town Hall clock. Interesting? Yes. Art? Answers on postcard please.
