Jefferson Station

We're up early, unsurprisingly (5 hours behind) but it takes a while to get going. Pack up & head for Radnor - one of many small suburb towns on the regional rail line out of Philly.

At Avenue Eatz, Angus has pancakes, Megan goat's cheese bagel, me coffee. I install them at the empty skate park and head off to open a bank account. It takes longer than expected, but I leave with a checking & savings, as well as a debit card.

Next is a train into Philly. We get off at 30th St - a huge station - and walk up through the museum district to Eastern Penitentiary. Lunch is organic at Fare, and it's late, almost 4, so we don't do museums but walk down to Long In The Tooth, a 2nd hand record shop. Angus puts together a pile of hip hop vinyl and I find a CD copy of Laurie Anderson's United States Live.

Then we walk through the heat down Market to Independence Hall. The kids are wilting. We take the train back from Jefferson and get into the Airbnb we'll be in for the next week. It's just a 5 minute walk from Daylesford station & it's much nicer than it looked in the photos.

We pass out early-ish.
