Gigha's Young Firefighters

I was on Gigha today with Roseanna Cunningham who ,as the Minister for Community Safety, was visiting the excellent young firefighters on the island.

This community initiative by Strathclyde Fire Service has certainly caught the imagination of the island's youngsters and the islamd's volunteer crew. I had not seen this type of activity and involvement before but apparently it is ( in different forms) quite widespread throughout Scotland.

I was most impressed !
