Monarch

Osuzanna and I had an impromptu mini-blip meet today at one of our favorite destinations, Black Hill Regional Park.  It's a reliable location to find wildflowers, birds, bees and butterflies - the staples of summer.  We found one Monarch butterfly on the Tropical Milkweed.  I didn't realize this plant was a milkweed, so I looked it up.  As a non-native there seems to be some controversy about its use in supporting Monarchs. Another bit of knowledge gained from this photography hobby.  I have added an extra of a Tree Swallow looking at an iron bird next to its perch.
