FABBL Inspection successful!

Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb (and Crops).
Once a year an inspector visits the farm and then checks all our records on every subject imaginable: farm animal management, environment and hygiene management (we are even asked when the dog was last wormed!), medicines and veterinary treatments, herd health plans, waste management plans, food composition, storage and use, housing and handling facilities, transport, identification and traceability of animals; then there is a whole lot more on the crop and arable side of the business and what that entails. At the end of the day the FABBL or a similar certificate assures the consumer that the product is safe and that the necessary national welfare standards have been reached. Without it farmers would find it difficult to trade.
