Monday - hidden selfie

Today we had planned to go into the City and do some shopping.
Neil had a few things on his list.
We got up and out pretty early as we also wanted to visit the Helmut Newton Museum.
We arrived there in order to find out that it was closed on Mondays ... doh!
Then we started our shop-crawl along the Ku-Damm.
Neil wanted a Summer Jacket and some light trainers and I wanted a new pair of Jeans for him. The poor man was extremely patient and tried the whole Diesel collection of jeans and more in the non air-conditioned shop at 27 degrees. We did buy some shoes there, but the jeans where just not right. The Diesel shop also had a nice jacket, which was also not quite right. I dragged him to Levis, and the good old 501 looked good. But not the wow I was looking for. We then looked at rucksacks at Jack Wolfskin - ok - but not quite right .... next stop was the Bikini Mall. In the Mammut Shop, Neil eventually found the right rucksack ;) (this Rucksack thing is dragging on since month by the way!). So I was pleased that that box was finally ticked :). We continued walking in direction of the KaDeWe and stopped at further High Street Shops. Everywhere was Summer sale on - very tempting!
At Desigual poor Neil had to try another 15 jeans, all not quite right and we wandered on.
After a coffee, in the meantime close to the KaDeWe at 5 pm, we went to Peek and Cloppenburg, a clothes department store with loads of brands.
We ended up in the posh designer floor, as I saw Belstaff! I love Belstaff, not that I can afford it, but I love it! And there was a jacket - wow that looked awesome - but here the price was not quite right .....!
Poor Neil then had to try jeans again! Closed, 7, Armani and what else they had massively reduced on the posh floor ..... I finally picked a 7 jeans, that was less then half price for him, before we finally reached the actual men's clothing floor.
There were 3 jackets, that were quite right! Plus Levis 501 - yes - we did the comparison and Neil got into even more jeans ......!
The decision between the 3 jackets took forever. In the end he picked the one we saw first! Both pairs of jeans went with us, when we finally left the shop at 8 pm! Shop closure in Berlin.
So we never made it to the KaDeWe before closing .... But we had all he wanted and were very hungry.
I had found a 'HongKong Style restaurant that I wanted to check out and we decided to walk there (another 40 min walk). When we arrived we found out it was closed on Mondays! Doh!
So we grabbed the U-Banh and went home, dropped the bags and went to our usual Italian for a bottle of wine and a lovely dinner.

It was a long but successful shopping day and we had a lot of fun!
BTW I did not try anything all day, just picked a cardigan on sale at the last shop to come with me ;)

The photo is an U-Bahn passing by. Have a close look and you will see me and a man with bags :)
This was on our way home.
