Shedding Tears

Campanula makaschvilii (I think) after this afternoon's rain.

A much larger plant than yesterdays offering, this one reaches around 40 cm, producing large, downward facing bellflowers.  Much of the plant is covered in bristly hairs, most noticeable around the mouth of the flower.  It's a reliable perennial in the garden border and seems to be slug proof ... it must be those bristly hairs!

A hopeful noise from our coordinator in the local education authority today.  Cautiously hopeful in a fingers crossed kind of way ... not getting excited at all at this stage but we will know more after a meeting on Monday.
