Rudder

The rudder of the Nil Desperandum, lying at Hay's Dock, Lerwick, and looking pretty desperandum. I have had a lovely afternoon wandering around with my girls, as my car has died. Something of a silver lining, the weather was stunning, and I finally took the decision to plunge into Blip.

The Nil Desperandum was built at Slaters yard, Lossimouth, in the late 1940's for Addison Bros of Peterhead (or for the Ministry of Defence, depending on which part of the Internet you read). She eent to Lerwick early 1950's,owner James Wiseman of Lerwick and was subsequently used for a variety of fishing.
