Re-member

In the last couple of weeks of her life, my wife Janette wanted to produce something for Love is Louder - a community led arts and crafts initiative in Rotherham.

I had told her that it is trying to be a countersign to all the negative stories and the image of local people created by extremist groups. She felt we should do something.

We worked on it together and it was completed after she died with help from her sister Erica. Janette called it "Banish The Darkness".

Janette was struggling to work with needle. However the hope that it proclaims, that love is stronger than all that the darkness can throw at it, is a fitting summary of her life and faith. It will please me greatly to see it hung as part of the Love Is Louder 'Art Bomb'.
