Visiting Volunteers

These are Lilly and James from Ireland, visiting the farm today.
Here they are with Laston and Harisen having a look at the latest variety of mango grafted on to local rootstock in one of our four greenhouses.
Those with the brown leaves have taken and are advances, the one with the little shootings have a bit to go and those with the plastic will take another week.
The number failing to take is about 1%, in which case they are grafted again.
They will be left for about four weeks more in the greenhouse and then taken to another cooler place.
We hope to have about 16,000 mango of seven different varieties by end of year. 
Well on our way at this stage.
