French butterfly

Taken from the breakfast room in the chateau in Asnieres-sur-Vegre on the morning of our departure for the eurotunnel. A few of our group had already departed so just four cars in our convoy.
The gardens were stunning and I wish there had been more time to investigate. Parts of the chateau date back to the 12th century and the gardens were designed by one of the architects who designed the gardens at the Palace of Versailles.
There was quite a bit of traffic on the roads which resulted in us missing our allocated tunnel slot so we had a couple of hours to wait. We parted from two of the cars and continued our journey to Essex where we were stopping for the night.
