Sad Pierrot. Whose beloved Columbine has had her head turned by Handsome Harlequin. Pierrot, with the painted tear on his cheek has been here before. Columbine was once stolen from him by another good-looking, quick-witted rascal. But Pierrot won her back before and he can win her back again. That Jackanape Jack-My-Lad isn't seen around anymore and maybe the same fate will befall Flash-Harry Harlequin.

Pierrot has read that, in prison, murderers tattoo tears on their cheeks to count those they have despatched.
