Anyone for a swim?

Not many swimmers braving the water today at Droitwich Spa Lido.

Droitwich Spa is well known for its brine streams that are found 200ft below ground level. Salt collecting dates back to Roman times and in 1817 the Corbett family made the area famous for its salt and brine Baths.

Droitwich Spa Lido uses brine extracted from the salt deposits beneath the town and is heated to 21⁰C.

It is one of the few remaining inland, open-air salt-water swimming pools in the UK.
