Light at the end of the tunnel?

Hardly...

I felt cheered up today, because I thought that with the "new regime" in charge we'd got beyond the regime of the silly boys.

So off we went to an opening night concert for the Jazz Festival at the Queen's Hall, and get back ... to what ...? A coup in Turkey. Guess where we're due to go on holiday next week. Yep. Don't start. And not just to some resort on the seaside which will be unaffected, but to Istanbul.

Anyway, at least this has been bloodless so far. Unlike last night.

A week or so ago, someone commented about the UK that it was producing more news than it could consume locally so could it please stop so that journalists could do their laundry. Now the world seems to be producing far more news than anyone consume, and much of it is not good.
