Tent Rocks Slot

Eight of us hiked into Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. It was the first adventure of our vacation. We got an early start and the monsoon storms gathered as we hiked out. This is an amazing place less than an hour from the city. The shapes and shadows are incredible. At the top of the trail the landscape opens up and you can see for miles in all directions, from the fantastic shapes to the distant mountains and broad sky.
