And that’s just . . .

. . . what came with the coffee. (That’s an espresso cup, so the delicious sweet things were only tiny!)

One of the main reasons for coming to Edinburgh was to take our daughter and son-in-law to Tom Kitchin’s Michelin Star place in Leith – The Kitchin. We went a few years ago and were so impressed that we knew they would love it. And it would also show them that it is not only London where the best restaurants are. We were there for lunch today and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

We had the three course set lunch with matching wines and it was absolutely superb. The food is way beyond good and the service incredibly professional. So many extras and every little thing described in detail. Only a few glimpses of Tom himself as he watches everything going out of the kitchen, but our daughter bought his book and had it signed. Altogether fabulous.

We then caught a bus into Edinburgh and took a tour bus round the city, something we had never thought of doing before. Perfect after such a meal and great fun.
