Rest Spot ...

Today a lot of odd jobs in and around the house. Not very unfortunate, because the sun failed to contribute a large part of the day. But the camera and the backyard are often a fruitful combination. At lunchtime I spotted a damselfly rest on a leaf of ivy on the barn in a faint ray of the sun.

You can keep away with a 200mm micro nikkor at a reasonable distance from your subject. This prevents the insect flies away quickly when approaching too close to the "threatening eye" of the camera. One click and the blip for today was reality.

Thank you for visiting my journal and your supporting comments and stars and heart for yesterday's "Mussels Fishing Boat ...". Much appreciated!
