Beverley Minster

Backblipped for 2nd July

After yesterday's jolly for Mr Flum, today was to be my 'fun day', so was spent in Beverley - starting at the excellent market and then visiting the Minster. Unfortunately, as the two weddings scheduled took place in the choir, all the misericords were folded down and the carvings not visible but the intricate embroidered panels depicting the life of St John of Beverley, stitched by students at the Hill Regional College of Art, provided plenty of interest in the detail and variety of stitches. My blip is the first panel, the Birth of St John of Beverley.
