Yellow- horned Poppy ,Chesil Beach

Apparently this plant has the largest seed pod of any British plant ( up to 30cm long) - so I overheard a group of artists who were setting up to paint it on the Chesil Beach at West Bexington this evening- 'who knew!' Anyway it is protected and I thought it was very beautiful - see extra photos.

We settled on the pebbles after a really tasty lunch at The Manor which is just above the beach and joy of joys we were able to sit outside; it really was a Summer's day with blue skies and sunshine all the way.
