Deadrise on the shore back blip

This Chesapeake Bay work boat is on the shore for a paint job and maybe some corking cotton to tighten up the cracks. Another name for this boat is bateau. Most of our local watermen still use these wooden work boats to fish their nets and crab their pots. Some have an awning to shade them as they work in the hot summer sun.
The extra is our neighbors sweet granddaughter Chloe atop the lifeguard chair at her grandmothers 60th birthday party last evening.
So sorry I just can not get caught up. Thank you so much for the stars and favs. and kind words. Summer is my busy season.
