Sea of cereal

I had a brilliant ride out with the Belles today. The best ever. It was about 50kms from here all told, but the best of it was the loop from Musselburgh up the Esk, up the railway path from Whitecraigs, up the hill to the Pencaitland railway path and then a brilliant off road section down through Macmerry eventually to Port Seton.

The fact that lunch was at the relatively new Falko's in Cockenzie House was another contributing factor, and the fact that it stayed dry out in East Lothian. Perhaps the only negative thing was the headwind as we came back in through the Pans and along the front. But all in all an excellent day out.

Update: a friend thinks this might be barley not wheat. Who knows? I don't. Anyway, I changed the title. The good thing about the wind was that it was making these lovely effects.
